KimpDuo

Privacy

Written on October 18, 2026 · revised October 19 (Google Analytics, service name)

KimpDuo is run by On My Trading and has no sign-in. The site itself sets only two cookies: lang, which remembers the display language you chose, and layout, which remembers the last screen layout (wide or phone). On top of that, the visit analytics tool Google Analytics sets cookies (see "Google Analytics" below). This page explains what the service keeps about visitors and for how long.

What visitor statistics collect

Only the first 16 bytes (32 characters) of an HMAC-SHA256 of your IP address, keyed with a secret only the server knows, are stored. The original IP address is neither stored nor logged.

This value isn't your address, but an operator holding the secret could match addresses against it. So it is treated as pseudonymous data — personal information under Korea's Personal Information Protection Act. The secret is kept separately from the store.

Records come only from the signals sent by a browser tab with this site open. The same address is counted at most once an hour.

Purpose

Used only to count unique visitors per day, hour, month and year. Never for ads, individual analysis or third parties.

Retention and deletion

  • Records containing pseudonymous values are deleted automatically 3 days after their period (hour, day, month, year) ends. Hourly and daily records last about 4 days at most, monthly records 3 days after the month ends, yearly records 3 days after the year ends.
  • After that only counts that point to no one remain. Daily, monthly and yearly visitor counts are kept; hourly counts are deleted 400 days after the day ends.

People online

To count how many people are viewing, each tab stores a random session number. Only signals from the last 60 seconds are counted, and the number is deleted within 2 minutes after the tab closes or the signal stops. Session numbers are not stored together with IP addresses.

What the server sees briefly

To keep requests through the server from piling up, requests per address are counted only in the server program's memory. Nothing is written to disk or the store, and it disappears when the server restarts. The web server's access log is turned off.

What stays in your browser

Watchlist, theme and list display settings stay only in this browser's storage (localStorage) and are not sent to the server. Clearing site data in your browser removes them.

The display language you choose (Korean or English) is kept in the lang cookie for one year. The server only reads it to render the first screen in that language — it does not identify you. The last screen layout (wide or phone) is kept in the layout cookie for one year; the server only reads it to render the first screen in that layout.

Ads and trackers

There are no ads. Visits are measured with Google Analytics (below); no other analytics tools or tracking scripts are used. To render the screen, your browser also connects directly to the services below. Like any web request, they can see your IP address.

Google Analytics

Google Analytics 4 by Google LLC counts which screens are opened and how often (page views — when you open a screen or switch language, not every time you pick a coin), along with approximate country and city and the kind of device and browser. It is used only as usage statistics to improve the service; ads, ad personalization and Google signals (cross-device ad linking) are turned off.

To recognize the same browser again, Google Analytics sets the cookies _ga and _ga_<measurement ID> for two years. In the European Economic Area (EEA), the UK and Switzerland there is no consent prompt yet, so no cookies are set there and only cookieless signals are sent.

Google states that Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. The collected data is processed by Google LLC on servers outside Korea, including the United States, and event-level data is deleted after the GA property's retention period of two months. Aggregate reports that point to no one remain.

If you don't want this: turn on Global Privacy Control (GPC) in your browser and this site won't load Google Analytics at all. You can also use Google's opt-out add-on.
